For every event we cover, we offer outright golf betting. This means you can bet on the outright winner of the tournament. This could be an individual – say Tiger Woods or Rory McIlroy in the US Masters – or a team – the US or Europe in the Ryder Cup for example. With our outright golf betting, we also offer the chance to bet each way. With an each way bet you’ll be betting on a specific player to either win or finish in the top six places. You’ll place two bets, which will double your stake, but it also increases your chances of winning.

And for each tournament you can also bet on the finishing position of your chosen golfer.

How do odds work on Golf?

So, you’ve been reading our golf tips and predictions. You’ve checked the form going into the tournament and you want to bet on a specific player to triumph. But how do golf betting odds work?

At Boyle Sports, you’ll see all our golf odds displayed as fractional odds. Say Dustin Johnson to win the US Open at 4/1. In terms of probability this means that there is a 20% chance that this will happen. But how much do you win if your bet comes in? With this example, for every £1 you bet you’ll win £4 back, plus your bet. So, for a £10 bet on Johnson to win at the Country Club in 2022, you would win a total of £40 and get your £10 bet back too.
