Spotlight: Limited encouragement when qualifying for this level and on handicap debut at Wolverhampton (about 1m, AW); however, she came home with a wet sail to take a close fourth at Bath (extended 5f, good) this month and things do seem to be falling into place now; likely contender.

Spotlight: Improved with each 2yo run but his second of eight on Lingfield AW (1m) in December came in an ordinary novice; entitled to need the run on handicap/turf debut at Leicester (7f, good to firm) and he ran respectably in sixth, eased when beaten; may be capable of better over the new trip.

Spotlight: 0-8 but involved in close finishes over 7f and 6f (AW) in February and only just failed to get up at Lingfield (5f) in March; no serious impact at Southwell since but ran as though still in form and not ruled out if able to transfer his sand form back to turf (first run on grass since debut).

Spotlight: Kept busy by previous yard, getting off the mark on Kempton AW (6f) in January; inevitably more exposed than some but he acts on turf and ran well for a long way over C&D this month for his new yard; a likely contender.

Spotlight: Two 5f wins on Polytrack and mostly kept to that trip, seeming not to see out the extra furlong in three handicaps at 6f, most recently at Wolverhampton this month; others may well find more again.

Spotlight: Maiden; progress stalled on AW but 7f was too far for him in March and he can't be ruled out on his most recent turf run, when finishing strongly to be second of nine at Yarmouth (6f, good) in October; possibilities.

Spotlight: Faded over 5f here on handicap debut and final start for the Gosdens; ran well when a staying-on fourth on Lingfield AW (7f) in March on second start for this yard but dropped right out at Leicester since (also 7f; hood refitted, now discarded); suspicion for now that the AW may suit best.

Spotlight: One win from 16 starts, over 6f on Kempton AW last August; in the frame on sand six times since but she hardly shifts in the weights; probably handles turf but needs a bit more for the return to this surface if she's to get her head in front again.

Spotlight: Modest form on first two starts but encouraging to see the way she ran from the front at Kempton (6f, AW) recently, when no match for a Haggas improver but punched on to regain second; of interest now realistically placed in an ordinary handicap.

Spotlight: No threat in three 6f runs but she would have finished closer to a subsequent winner at Lingfield (6f, AW) in April had her jockey not had to concentrate on trying to prevent her hanging; found little over C&D since; should fare better now handicapping but new cheekpieces are an unknown.

Spotlight: Successful handicap debut at Brighton (6f, good) in August; that wasn't competitive but she ran well on her final 2yo starts there and 1m stretched her at Bath on comeback; shouldn't rule out back at 6f.

Spotlight: Finished remote behind two good 3yos on Lingfield AW (6f) last month but previously showed evidence of ability when third of five at Wolverhampton (5f) in March, keeping on well; should be more at home in ordinary handicaps; considered on turf debut.
